Other Stories

Virus Attack is the main story, but not the only story. There are also prequels and short stories that take place in the same universe.

Prequels

The Howling Crown and The Lonely Prince are two major stories that I'm planning to work on once Virus Attack has been completed!
The Howling Crown is set in China, during december 2019. It's about King Haojiao, the wild-type virion who infected 'patient zero'. In this prequel, SARS-CoV-2 isn't named yet, so the cell characters refer to it as 'howling crown', because it is a coronavirus with a howling voice.

The Lonely Prince is set in England, during the very early start of the year 2020. It's about the short and troubled life of virion Prince Loki. King Matthias appears as a young pup and he has a supporting role in this prequel story.

Short Stories

Uncle Etna's Death is another story King Matthias appears as a pup in. It is basically a prequel too, given it takes place during Matthias's childhood, but I labeled it as a short story... because it is a short story. . This is also an event which takes place in The Lonely Prince, but not actually shown. I decided to make it a story on its own instead.

A cute story about Prince Scratcher falling in love with Prince Cody, a MERS-CoV virion. Scratcher gets coughed out and accidentally end up in the host of an another coronavirus. The virion don't like him at first, but they warm up to him as soon as he tells them that he's a SARS-CoV-2 virion (a virus which they idolize). This story was formerly known as Scratcher Finds Some Love and I already created it somewhere in 2020, but I recently decided to reboot it.

Not coronavirus related, but about an ebolavirus virion named Rex. The story also takes place during the 2013-2016 ebola outbreak in Africa, some years before the initial events in Virus Attack. Because his host is dying, Rex has to flee and find a new one. He ends up in a human who already is infected with the marburgvirus, but because Rex is still a baby, Mamadou, the marburg president, decides to adopt him. They're closely related species after all. Rex grows up, but once this host is dying too, Rex and his adoptive brother, Bubu, flee and infect a healthy human. Back in his old host, Rex found a piece of his late adoptive father's horn as a memorial. But, as the one good event follows after the other, he soon starts to think that it has blessed him with good luck and plenty of host-cells. Maybe it's all just coincedence, but who knows?
